제목 | Contemporary organic contamination levels in digested sludge from industrial wastewater treatment plants : Volatile organic compound |
초록 | Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) have been detected in sludges sometimes at high concentrations. They are used widely in industrial environments. Many are toxic, some are considered carcinogenic. Therefore, VOCs contents in the sludge derived from industrial wastewater treatment plants were determined in order to characterize contemporary organic contamination levels. VOCs were extracted from the dewatered biosludge cake using a Headspace/Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer operated in selected ion monitoring mode. The optimum temperature and time for equilibration procedure between sludge and headspace were determined empirically. VOCs contents in the sludge from industrial wastewater treatment plant were determinated and were present in appreciable amount. |
