제목 Preparation of UV-protection film using transition metal-doped ZnO nanoparticles
초록 There has been a surge of interest in nanomaterials or nanostructured materials, particularly metal oxide nanoparticles. Among them, ZnO is now being considered as a potential material for a wide range of applications. One of the interesting approaches to improve the electrical and optical properties of ZnO is to dope ZnO with various transition metals. ZnO nanoparticles can be synthesized by various approaches. In this work, the obtained particles were deposited on PET film with suitable binder. The optical transmittance of nano ZnO-coated film was determined by UV-vis spectrometer. The results indicated that transition metal-doped ZnO film has an excellent UV-blocking property and the UV-protection ability of ZnO is changed with the transition metal dopant.
