Super lipophilic gel with graft cross-linking polymer for volatile organic compounds |
초록 |
The lipophilic gel has been studied for absorbent for various organic solvents. In this study, we present an engineered lipophilic gel consisting of silicon backobone cross-linked with poly(succinimide) grafted methacrylate (PSI-g-MA) for absorbing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The absorption behavior of the lipophilic gel was examined by varying of degree of substitution of acrylates in the cross-linker. In addition, the swelling behavior of the lipophilic gel in VOCs solution such as toluene could be controlled with expansion ratio (S) and elastic modulus (E) of the gel.. Overall, this new strategy to prepare the super lipophilic gel using the graft cross-linking polymer would be directly used for designing effective VOCs absorbing material. |
