제목 | The Influence of Buffer and TCO layer Deposition Temperature on Characteristics of Cuprous Oxide Thin Film Solar Cells |
초록 | The broad use of photovoltaic energy as an infinite source of clean energy is still limited because of the high cost of power generation. Cu2O, as a photovoltaic material, has a wide band gap of 2.17 eV. There are many reports on solar cells based on Cu2O as active layer because it shows many interesting characteristics such as earth-abundance, low cost, non-toxic, good mobility, and direct energy gap. The theoretical limit of the energy conversion efficiency of a Cu2O solar cell is 20%. In this work, Cu2O absorber layer was deposited by electrodeposition. On top of it the buffer layer (ZnO) and the TCO layer (AZO) was deposited by atomic layer deposition and rf-magnetron sputtering respectively. We fabricated the cell with a change in the deposition temperature of the buffer and the TCO layer. Finally, we compared the efficiency of the fabricated solar cells, and studied the influence of buffer and TCO layer deposition temperature on Cu2O solar cell. |
