Polymer exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFC) are now obtaining increasingly attention applying as a power sources in electrical vehicles, because their high energy efficiencies and no oil combustion. However, some barriers above membrane such as cost and durability also need to be solved. In this study, we synthesized a super spiro polymer by 4- piperidone monohydrate hydrochloride and electron-rich biphenyl, herein, a super acid, trifluoromethane sulfonic acid, was employed as a catalyst. The sulfonated polymer was followed by sulfonation concentrated sulfuric acid to prepare. The morphology of sulfonated membrane was depicted by AFM and high proton conductivity. The synthesized copolymers were characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), proton conductivities, water uptake, and ion exchange capacity (IEC) measurement. |
