제목 | Biocatalytic Production of Acetone From A Light-chain Hydrocarbon |
초록 | Light-chain hydrocarbons are the main components of natural/shale gas and byproducts of various chemical processes. These compounds are not appropriate as alternative materials for current chemical industry, thus they should be converted into the different form of chemical. Acetone can be applied to the chemical industry as a solvent or a chemical intermediate. Currently, acetone is produced through chemical processes such as cumene process and propylene hydration. However, such chemical processes require high pressure and temperature or need high-priced catalyst and feedstock. In this work, a light-chain hydrocarbon was converted to acetone via bioprocess using biocatalyst. One-step and two-step production of acetone were conducted at various reaction conditions and optimized. As a result, acetone can be obtained with a high titer and productivity. |
