제목 | An evaluation of comb-like poly(ethylene glycol) conjugated liposomes for long circulation in vivo |
초록 | In this study, comb-like poly(ethylene glycol) conjugated liposomes containing doxorubicin was prepared to prolong the circulation time in vivo. Comb-like poly(ethylene glycol) was composed of MMA, HPOEM and POEM.1 Circulation time in blood, biodistribution, and antitumor activity in vivo of modified liposomes were evaluated.2 Average particle size and encapsulation efficiency of modified liposomes were 81±1.3 nm and 93%, respectively. Modified liposomes showed longer half-life than those of conventional liposomes and free doxorubicin (Fig. 1). Biodistribution of modified liposomes in liver and spleen indicated fewer uptake by the reticuloendothelial system, comparing with conventional liposomes. Furthermore, antitumor activity of modified liposomes in vivo was enhanced, comparing with conventional liposomes. Fig. 1.
