제목 Cathode Modification of Organic Solar Cell by Small Molecule Electrolytes Based on Dialkyl Viologen
초록 We reported three small-molecule dyes based on dialkyl viologen with different alkyl chains (C4, C6, and C12) and applied them as the cathode buffer layer for organic solar cells. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the device with V-alkyl-OTs as the interlayers were 8.1% (C4), 8.3% (C6), and 8.6% (C12), respectively. These performances are better than the device with pristine ZnO (7.6%) due to the production of the interface dipole at the cathode interface by V- alkyl-OTs as interlayer. Furthermore, we observed that the PCEs of the solar cells depend on the alkyl chain length of cathode interlayer materials because a longer alkyl chain induces a larger interface dipole and leads to the enhancement of the PCE.
