제목 Synthesis and analysis of copper ion containing polymer
초록 Introducing of nano-sized metal substance to organic polymer can improve electric conductivity of non-conductive polymers. Common ways that manufacture nano-sized metal substance are using capping reagent method applying interaction between organic polymer and metal precursor. In this work, copper ion containing methacrylate complex (Cu[CH2=C(CH3)-COO](COD), where COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) was prepared by capping reagent method. Then, copper ion containing methacrylic polymer was obtained through polymerization of copper methacrylate complex (in THF). In order to find out properties of the polymer, we have analyzed the polymer by using several analysis machinery. We could discover copper nano-networks or aggregated nanoparticles when the polymer in THF solution was chemically reduced by sodium borohydride solution.
