It is difficult to prepare polymeric materials with highly dispersed metal nanoparticle because of their intrinsic low affinity. In this study, to overcome this problem, polymers containing various metal ions were synthesized through polymerization of synthetic monomers having transition metal coordinated with organic ligand (cyclooctadiene (COD). A silver methacrylate complex (Ag [CH2=C(CH3)COO-](COD)) was prepared by ligand (COD) incorporation. The silver methacrylate complex has been co-polymerized with MMA, through a radical initiator polymerization using AIBN in order to adjust their processbility in various organic solvents. The synthetic polymer can be utilized as polymeric ink for direct writing on FDA-TFDV film for possible applications in preparation of transparent conductive thin film. |
