Fuel cells are promising power sources for portable, stationary, and also electric vehicle application. However they still have some drawbacks, one of them is methanol crossover which leads to lower energy efficiency, therefore it decreases the fuel cell performance. There are 2 reasons that cause methanol crossover from the anode to the cathode in fuel cell: diffusion flow by concentration gradient and a convective flow by electro-osmotic drag. The limit current density was measured to evaluate the effect of electro-osmotic drag on methanol crossover in fuel cell at different temperature. |
