제목 Controllable Large-Area Cathode Patterning for Organic Light-Emitting Diodes Using Highly-Aligned Organic Fibers
초록 Cathode patterning is an essential process for creating organic light-emitting diode (OLED) pixels. In this work, we report a controllable large-area cathode patterning technique without damage to organic layers using highly-aligned polymer fiber arrays fabricated by electrohydrodynamic organic nanowire printing (ONP). ONP provides a straightforward and inexpensive way for fabricating cathode separators, and this process allows a very high fiber printing speed and the accurate control of inter-fiber separation, which makes it suitable for large-area OLED sub-pixel fabrication. The organic fibers with an average diameter of ~1.11 μm worked well as cathode separators, which was clearly demonstrated by scanning electron micrographs. The patterned OLEDs showed comparable current and luminous efficiencies compared to a reference device.
