Gold nanorods have two plasmon bands in the range of visible and near IR wavelengths, which can be tuned by changing the aspect ratio of the length to the diameter of nanorods. However, a control of arrangement of nanorods on a solid substrate as well as in a solution is necessary because the interparticle coupling of nanorods changes the plasmon bands in position and broadness. In this study, we first induced an arrangement of diblock copolymer micelles surrounded with gold nanorods, by controlling the relative size between micelles and nanorods. Then the organization of micelles with nanorods was altered by solvent annealing, which can affect the plasmonic coupling of nanorods. The arrangement of micelles and nanorods was characterized by microscopic images and plasmonic extinction of nanorods. |
