Highly Sensitive Graphene Field-Effect Transistor with Cytochrome C Conjugation for Detecting Hydrogen Peroxide |

As rapid and sensitive monitoring strategy to trace in vivo reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is getting significant. In this study, we demonstrated a sing layer graphene field-effect transistor (FET) sensor. Graphene was used as the conductive substrate material and cytochrome c (Cyt c) as the biomolecular receptor for H2O2 detection. This FET sensor shows high conductivity and high sensitivity with hole-transport behavior to H2O2 with detection limit of 100 fM in less than a second. Thus, this study suggests Cyt c/single-later graphene FET sensor can activate high-efficiency charge to transfer between the redox center of the Cyt c/graphene interface. |
