제목 Purification of water-soluble cutting oil through ceramic membrane based process
초록 Importance of cutting oil has been also increasing for cutting performance. However, disposal of spent water-soluble cutting oil causes severe environmental and economic problems. Therefore, reuse of spent cutting oil was recently studied using various methods.
In this study, ceramic membrane based process was developed and optimized for reuse of spent cutting oil. Therefore, suitable operating condition and pre-treatment of ceramic membrane process are needed to reuse spent cutting oil. In this study, each process was optimized for reuse spent cutting oil before evaluation of integrated process as following; i) coagulation ii) floating by micro-bubble iii) membrane filtration. To find reusability of spent cutting oil, various parameter were measured such as total organic carbon (TOC), pH, turbidity, zeta potential and oil droplet size. This results are expected to provide to guideline for reuse spent cutting oil to minimize environmental pollution and save the economic cost.
