Here, we report a biomass-based composite for the broad application that was prepared by self-assembly of biomass materials in a co-existing condition. We utilized a substance that possesses certain charge properties on its surface as a cross-linking agent to improve the affinity between the other self-assembled biomass substances in an aqueous environment. The resulting composite showed superior physicochemical properties compared to individual substances. Moreover, the outer surface composition material that possessed many functional groups exhibited excellent colloidal stability, which is a critical requirement for its broad application in aqueous conditions. |
