제목 Effects of drawing conditions on the porosity and mechanical properties of γ-ray irradiated HPDE separators
초록 We investigated the effects of drawing conditions on the porosity and mechanical properties of the separator. A separator is required to be very thin and highly porous for a high energy and power density. HDPE(high density polyethylene) films were irradiated with γ-rays to a dosage of 25kGy and 50kGy for a crosslinking purpose. The samples were subject to an axial orientation by a stretching machine at 60 oC at a draw speed of 10.8cm/sec. The porosity of the irradiated HDPE separators was measured with a mercury porosimeter. Also, the resulting mechanical characterization of the irradiated HDPE separators were analyzed.
