제목 Preparation of Silica-coated Polyvinylbutyral (PVB) as an Organic-inorganic Hybrid by Sol-Gel Process
초록 By sol-gel process of silanol groups from hydrolysis of tri- and tetra-alkoxysilane, silica-coated or dispersed polyvinylbutyral(PVB) as an organic-inorganic hybrid is prepared. The hybrid can be applicable to the manufacture of hallow-bead of silica by removal of PVB. It has shown that, although the morphology of the hybrid is dependent on the concentration of base catalyst of NaOH, solvents, silanes, and gelation time, concentration of catalyst and solvent play the decisive role. The used solvents are chloroform, tetrahydrofuran, N,N-dimethylformamide and alcohol. There are many differences in morphology and thermal characteristic property of PVB according to solvent systems between chloroform, tetrahydrofuran and N,N-dimethylformamide , ethylalcohol .Also, the morphology was changed by the amount of water in the process of gelation.
