Membranes formed from controlling the different parameters in the process of immersion precipitation paved the way for the appearance of different morphologies and changes in the crystalline phases. At high concentrations of polymer, gelation time, and solution temperature, growth of larger spherulites was facilitated. At lower values, a relatively weak gel-like interfacial layer was observed. Addition of LiCl has paved the way for the formation of a symmetric membrane composed of tightly packed aggregates of spherulites. The morphologies were correlated with water permeability test data. |
