제목 Improvement in scratch resistance of PMMA/aluminum hydroxide composite by organic/inorganic hybrid with organo-alkoxysilane and titanium butoxide
초록 PMMA/aluminum hydroxide composites are used in various building applications because of their excellent properties and low production costs. Hard-coating materials for improving the scratch resistance of PMMA/aluminum hydroxide composite surface were prepared by sol-gel condensation of organo-alkoxysilane and titanium butoxide using acidic catalyst. Condensation products of sol-gel reaction were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Surface hardness of hard coating materials was evaluated by pencil hardness. The scratch resistance of PMMA/aluminum hydroxide composite was improved significantly by organic/inorganic hybrid coating.
