제목 Nanoporous flame retardant separators based on polyacrylonitrile/phosphazene composites
초록  Flame retardancy and heat resistance of a separator is significantly important for the safety of the next generation of lithium-ion batteries. As one of the potential materials for a separator, polyacrylonitrile copolymers (coPAN) have been studied due to their excellent thermal and mechanical properties. With the coPAN, we have fabricated a novel composite separator incorporating phosphazene, a flame retardant agent, to suppress the combustion of the flammable organic electrolytes. The electrospinning technique was used for the nanoporous coPAN/phosphazene nonwoven, and then it was partially oxidized at 210 °C for 30 min to improve its heat resistance (<5% thermal shrinkage at 200 °C) and tensile strength (>40 Ma). For the electrochemical properties, the composite separators were employed in the coin-cells and evaluated during charging-discharging operations.
