제목 | The Drug Release from Low Molecular Weight and Water Soluble Chitosan Nanoparticles |
초록 | In this study, using the low molecular and water soluble chitosan (LMWSC) with free-amine group by novel method developed in our laboratory, LMWSC nanoparticles were successfully prepared as modify with cholesterol as the hydrophobic group and PEG as the hydrophilic group. The cholesterol used for enhancement the association behaviour of chitosan and stability and activity of the hydrophobic drug has very low solubility about water. To solve this problem, the hydrophilic group, PEG, was introduced at chitosan chains. Also, PEG chains can prevent cell adhesion by entropically driven steric repulsion and increasing hydrophilicity of carrier surfaces. Through the 1H-NMR spectrophotometer, the synthesis of LMWSC nanoparticles was identified quantitatively. The characterizations of nanoparticles were revealed by TEM, AFM, and CMC. For the evaluation the ability as drug carrier, LMWSC nanoparticles loaded the clonazepam and taxol, hydrophobic drug, were prepared and its release character was measured by HPLC. |
