제목 | Electrochemical Behaviors of Polymer Composite Electrolytes Mixed with MCM-41 Silicate Materials |
초록 | A poor room-temperature conductivity and slow ion transfer of electrolytes based on high-molecular weight polyethylene oxide (PEO) have impeded development of lithium and lithium-ion batteries with solid electrolytes. For an application of lithium-ion batteries, at least 10-3 - 10-4 (S/cm) ion conductivity at room temperature is required. To improve the ion conductivity of polymer electrolytes, composite polymer electrolytes are considered. By preparation of composite electrolytes containing nano-size ceramic fillers such as TiO2, SiO2, or Al2O3, the electrochemical and mechanical properties can be improved. In this work, the conducting polymer composite electrolytes were made by using poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), mesoporous MCM-41 molecular sieves, and lithium salts. The MCM-41 was synthesized by using a solution of sodium silicate as a silica source and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTMACl) as a template. The effect of acidically or basically surface treatments of the MCM-41 was investigated by the pH, acid-base values, FT-IR, and XRD measurements. The influence of MCM-41 on the ionic conductivities and the interfacial characteristics was determined by the frequency response analyzer (FRA), DSC, and FT-IR. |
