In this talk, I will present synthetic nanostructured materials that are useful for the energy conversion and storage devices. Highly crystalline mesoporous transition metal oxides could be potentially used for energy conversion and storage devices. We developed an approach established for group IV (titanium) and V (niobium) oxides, with potential applications to fuel cells and photovoltaic cells, respectively, which overcomes previous limitations. We also developed nanostructured carbon materials through hard template method for use as electrode materials of energy storage devices and bioelectrochemical devices. |
