제목 Instant Crystallization of Liquid-Crystalline Polymer Semiconductor Using an Intensely Pulsed White Light for Organic Thin Film Transistors
초록 Organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) based on solution-processed polymer semiconductors (PSCs) have recently been of much attention because of their easy processability and good optoelectrical properties toward low-cost and flexible electronics. In particular, post annealing using thermal or solvent treatment is desirable as an effective way to manipulate crystalline microstructures, which can lead to high-performance in the devices. Here, we report on a facile, but very effective intensely pulsed white light (IPWL) methodology to induce self-assembly of liquid-crystalline PSCs within 30 seconds over large area. We found that thin films display highly-ordered lamellar microstructures by IPWL treatment, which results in the improvement of charge-mobility by three folds compared to as-prepared devices. We believe that the IPWL will be a potentially promising way to realize ultra-fast, large area, and cost-effective roll-to-roll production of organic electronics.
