A Room Temperature Processable Polymeric Single Interlayer as an Alternative to a Dense TiO2 Compact Interlayer |

A room-temperature-processed ethoxylated polyethylenimine (PEIE) polymeric single interlayer was used for the first time on FTO without a metal oxide layer to effectively extract electrons and block holes between a transparent fluorine-doped SnO2 (FTO) substrate and perovskite layer without metal oxide compact layer in a perovskite-based solar cell. The PEIE interlayer which displayed dielectric characteristics successfully alternate the conventional dense TiO2 (d-TiO2) compact interlayers. The overall advantages of the PEIE interlayer afforded a highly efficient solar cell with a power conversion efficiency () of 15.0 %, 25.0 % better than the efficiency obtained from a high-temperature processed conventional d-TiO2 interlayer (η= 12.0 %). |
