제목 Synthesis of mono-dispersed DDR zeolite particles using seeded growth and their CO2, N2, and H2O adsorption properties
초록 All silica DDR zeolites has very suitable pore size for separating CO2 from N2. Although all silica DDR zeolites are appropriate for CO2 separators, synthesizing mono-dispersed DDR zeolites were not highly challenging. In this study, we discovered seeded growth of irregular Si-DDR particles acquired by non-seeded growth, and as a result, mono-dispersed diamond-like Si-DDR particles were obtained. Adsorption isotherms of CO2, N2, and H2O in Si-DDR particles and the resulting heats of adsorption were as good as literature data. The ideal CO2/N2 sorption and permeation selectivities were evaluated to be ~15.3-18.0 and ~7.7-9.0 at 303 K, respectively. And these results support that Si-DDR zeolites have potential as adsorbents and membranes for CO2/N2 separations. Moreover, the adsorption of H2O relies on the amounts of defects and Al atoms included into the DDR framework.
