제목 The Effect of Temparature on the Infrared Spectra of segmented Block Copolyesters
초록 The temperature effect fo segmented block copolyetheresters based on poly(butylene terephthalate) and poly(tetramethylene ether glycol) with various hard segment contents were investigated by IR temperature study. The number average molecular weights of poly (tetramethylene ether glycol) (PTMG) used were 1000 and 2000.
Reversible and irreversible spectra changes were observed on heating the solvent-casting films of copolyetheresters from 30℃ to 230℃. The irreversible changes are due to the alpha(G-T-G)-beta(T-T-T) transition of tetrametylene glycol in hard segments. On the other hand, reversible spectral changes were primarily observed in aromatic ring mode. These reversible spectral changes include intensity variation and frequency shifts and were found to be linearly dependent on the measurement temperature. These reversible changes were seen to arise from changes in intramolecular and intermolecular forces as the temperature changes.
