제목 Study on the Mechanical Properties of Thermo Plastic Olefin/Polylactic Acid Blends with Compatibilizer
초록 Thermo plastic olefin(TPO) allow the development of polymer blends without impairing their biodegradability and other useful properties. Polylactic acid(PLA) in TPO/PLA blends has improved to hydrolysis and biodegradation and has better tensile strength compared to pure polypropylene. However, TPO/PLA blends are immiscible, and the multiphase blends show poor mechanical performance. To solve the problem of immiscibility, compatibilizing agents, such as premade block or graft copolymers that can link the matrix with the dispersed phase via covalent bonds formed in situ during melt blending process.
