In this work, we prepared nitrogen-doped microporous carbons (N-MCs) by carbonization of the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdF)/melamine mixture. The carbonization was conducted at different temperatures (700~1000 ℃) and further activation was not treated. It was found that, the N-MCs had a high specific surface area without activation because of the micropore formation by the release of fluorine groups. The textural properties of the N-MCs were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation and BJH method. The surface characterization was carried out using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The electrochemical performance of N-MCs was determined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge characteristics in 6 M KOH electrolyte. As a result, there are some difference among the N-MCs. |
