제목 | Sonochemical Grafting of Lignin onto MWCNTs and Properties of Their TPEE Composites films |
초록 | Under ultrasound irradiation in the polymeric solutions, the polymer chains are severed preferentially near the middle of the chains, resulting in polymeric radicals at the ends. It has been known that CNTs have a radical scavenging capacity. With this background, ultrasound was used to graft severed polymer chains having radicals on the surface of CNTs in aqueous solution. This simple “grafting onto” methology was successfully explored. In this work, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were modified with water soluble polymer, lignin. Using radical scavenging effect of the MWCNTs, lignin polymer chains were surface-grafted onto the surface of the MWCNTs by simple sonication. Finally, the dispersion stability of modified MWCNT in thermoplastic polyether-ester elastomer (TPEE) film was studied. And the physical properties of modified MWCNT/TPEE composites were also thoroughly investigated. |
