제목 Fast responding macroporous hydrogels controlled by light irradiation
초록 Composite hydrogels consisting of iron oxide nanoparticles embedded within a thermally responsive polymer matrix provide an efficient means to trigger changes in volumetric swelling under irradiation of visible light. Even though light-responsive hydrogels show controllable and reproducible volume change, slow swelling kinetics limits their application on sensors or actuators. To prepare fast responding hydrogel matrix, we attempted to introduce porous structure in the hydrogel network. We prepared a semi-interpenetrating polymer network with macromonomers instead of normal monomer molecules in the presence of gas bubbles. We found that the macroporous hydrogels containing photothermal materials show rapid volume change under visible light irradiation.
