제목 Controlled Dewetting of Thin Self Assembled Polymer Films in Multiple Length Scales
초록 Self assembly driven by complicated but systematic hierarchical interactions offers an alternative for fabricating functional micron or nanometer scale pattern structures significantly useful for various organic and nanotechnological devices. Self assembled nanostructures generated from synthetic polymer systems such as controlled polymer blends and block copolymers have gained a great attention because of not only the variety of nanostructures they can evolve but also the controllability of these structures by various external stimuli including electrical, mechanical, magnetic, solvent and surface confinement. We introduce various methods to producing polymeric micro/nano structures potentially utilized for organic flexible electronic applications. In particular dewetting of a polymer thin film is controlled in multiple length scales for creating highly ordered micro and/or nanostructures over large areas when combined with unconventional soft lithographic techniques. In addition, the controlled dewetting of block copolymers confined onto either chemically or topographically modified surface allows us to fabricate technologically useful ordered nanoscale templates. The current efforts to functionalize the controlled self assembled nanostructures are also introduced.
