Dy3+ and Eu3+ ions-codoped MgMoO4 phosphors were synthesized with changing the concentration of Eu3+ ions by using a solid-state reaction method. The effects of the concentration of Eu3+ ions on the structural, morphological, and photoluminescent properties of MgMoO4: Dy3+,Eu3+ phosphors were investigated. The X-ray diffraction patterns revealed that all of phosphor powders showed a dominant diffraction peak at 2θ=26.4˚, which was attributed to the diffraction from the (220) plane of MgMoO4. The excitation spectra were composed of a charge transfer band centered at 293 nm and two peaks at 354 and 390 nm, respectively. The emission spectra of the Dy3+and Eu3+ ions-codoped MgMoO4 phosphors under excitation at 293 nm exhibited one intense red band at 616 nm, a yellow band at 575 nm, and weak multipeaks. For the MgMoO4:0.05 Dy3+ phosphor without incorporating Eu3+ ions, a strong yellow band centered at 575 nm was observed. As the Eu3+ concentration increases to 0.01, 0.05, and 0.10 mol, the intensity of the yellow emission suddenly decreases, while that of red emission band at 616 nm approaches a maximum value at 0.10 mol, and then decreases at 0.15 mol of Eu3+. |
