Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose/polyethyleneimine (CMC/PEI) composite films were fabricated by a simple solution casting method. The anionic CMC and cationic PEI were combined by ionic interaction. The properties and characterization of CMC/PEI composite films were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and universal testing machine (UTM). The structural properties and morphologies of CMC/PEI composite films were investigated by using XRD and SEM, respectively. The mechanical properties of CMC/PEI composite films were analyzed by UTM. It was found that tensile strength and Young’s modulus of CMC/PEI composite films were slightly decreased, but failure strain was increased. |
