Catalytic activity of reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanotubes/iron/silver composites for the reduction of dye and nitrophenol compounds |

In this present study, we have demonstrated a novel and simple approach to obtain reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanotube/iron/silver composites (rGO/CNT@Fe/Ag) within just 10–30 s under ambient conditions via microwave irradiation. The structural characteristics of the hybrid materials were examined by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), transmission spectroscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the mechanism formation was proposed. The catalytic properties of methylene blue and 4-nitrophenol were performed using rGO/CNT@Fe/Ag composites synthesized in the presence of sodium borohydride. The obtained data indicated that rGO/CNT@Fe/Ag hybrid materials exhibit highly efficient recyclability and excellent catalytic activity. |
