Developing new ways of generating NIR light is import for the next generation of their potential applicability in biomedicine, night vision, national security, and wafer inspection. In this work, the canny combination of thiophe-phenylquinoline based NIR red emitting heteroleptic Ir(III) complexes have been synthesized and used for solution processed phosphorescent OLED applications. The thermal stabilities, photophysical properties, X-ray crystal structures, electrochemical behaviors and EL properties are stated, and the influence of electron D-A interaction on optoelectronic properties are systematically investigated. The high performance solution process PhOLEDs consisted of different type of layers fabricated in the series of ITO/PEDOT:PSS (40 nm)/TCTA:TPBI:dopant (50 nm)/TPBI (50 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm). (BTPQ)2Ir(acac) shows the external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 3.65% with CIE coordinated (0.70, 0.26) at 10 mA/cm2. |
