TPEs (Thermoplastic Elastomers) consist of linear segmented block copolymers composed of hard and soft segments with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. When polyamide used as a hard segment, it can be called polyamide type TPEs (TPAE) which shows a wide range of application due to its good thermal stability, and excellent chemical and hydrolytic resistance. We tried to synthesize monomers for polyamide via one or two carbon homologation reaction. By our divergent process, it is expected to obtain various monomers which have various physical properties after polymerization. |
