Carbon nanotubes (CNT) are gaining significant attention in various emerging fields like display technology, wearable electronics and conducting materials etc. Ours presenting is CNT incorporated into PLGA polymer matrix (CNT-PLGA) hybrid nanofibers by using electrospinning process. These CNTs were functionalized with polar functional groups such as hydroxyl (-OH) and carboxyl (-COOH) via modified Hummer’s method. After that, the modified CNTs were mixed with poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA) in 1:3 ration of THF:DMF as a solvents. As a result, prepared CNT-PLGA hybrid nanofibers were formed uniformly with excellent flexible properties due to formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonding between CNT and PLGA. Finally, as prepared CNT-PLGA hybrid nanofibers structural, morphological and functional characterizations have been studied thoroughly and extensively. |
