The utilization of carbon material as a substrate for lithium ion batteries |
초록 |
For the application of lithium ion batteries in vehicles, the specific capacity and the rate capability must be improved. In order to improve the specific capacity, researches have been done to explore new materials for the components of batteries. Gargantuan amount of research papers have been published regarding the active material, modifying its macro and micro structures, utilizing elements with higher capacity, and exploring new synthesis procedures. In comparison, the researches regarding current collectors have received less attention. In this study, a carbon material is used as a substrate, which could replace the conventional current collectors, such as Al and Cu. The replacement could reduce the overall mass of the electrode, leading to increase in specific capacity. |
