제목 Study on structure-property relationships in the multifunctional photorefractive chromophore
초록 To elucidate the relationship between the photorefractivity and the chromophore structures, we prepared five kinds of monolitic photorefractive chromophores and polymers containing carbazole unit as photoconductor and electron donor. Nitro group, as an electron acceptor was introduced into 3-position of carbazole directly or via the various conjugation bridges such as azobenzene, stilbene, cyano-stilbene, and benzoxazole.
Their optical properties i.e. dipole moment, polarizability anisotropy, and hyperpolarizability were evaluated by semi empirical quantum chemical calculation and the photorefractive properties of these polymers were investigated through the two-beam coupling and the four-wave mixing measurements.
