제목 Study of Silicon Nanowire Biosensor through Surface Modification
초록 Recently, nanowires have attracted much interest in view of their ability for rapid and direct analysis of small molecules that specifically bind to a target protein. Here, we report electrical detection of small-molecule by silicon nanowires (SiNW) as a biosensor. SiNW was obtained by micro-machining technology and was transferred onto an oxidized silicon substrate and the electrodes were fabricated for SiNW device. First, the ability of SiNW for sensing surface charge change was checked in various buffer solutions after several amino acids were coupled to the silicon surface. Protein bindings on the SiNW were verified through biotin-streptavidin experiment. We expect that SiNW can be used as a diagnosis device such as antigen monitoring, if the conductivity measurement is sensitive and reproducible.
