Preparation of copolymers containing polar segments and its application as gel electrolyte for dye sensitized solar cells |

In this study, an amphiphilic brush-type block copolymers containing poly(ethylene oxide) as side chains were synthesized and applied to dye-sensitized solar cells as polymeric gel electrolytes. The structures of polymers were characterized by using GC, GPC, FT-IR and 1H-NMR. The functionalized copolymers were introduced to liquid electrolyte components and then transformed to gel electrolyte. Effect of the structure and composition of the copolymers on the behavior and properties of gel electrolyte were investigated. Dye-sensitized solar cells were fabricated and their performances were also investigated. |
