Nafion-assisted liquid phase exfoliation of MoS2 and its application in Hydrogen Evolution Reaction |
초록 |
Solvent-assisted exfoliation method is one of the simplest methods for exfoliation of layered materials. Among the various solvents, water is not toxic and has a relatively low boiling point, which is considered to be an ideal solvent for liquid phase separation. However, because of the hydrophobic nature of TMDs, there is a problem that the dispersibility is very poor in hydrophilic water. In this study, bulk MoS2 is exfoliated in nafion-assisted water and then apply exfoliated MoS2 nanosheet to HER catalysis, because nafion is an essential additive to the HER test as a binder. Interestingly, it can be seen that there is a difference in the dispersibility and the exfoliation yield depending on the nafion addition volume. Through nafion-assisted water phase exfoliation method, it can be identify that nafion have a feasibility to use in exfoliation of layered materials and good potentials in various promising applications, such as energy conversion and storage without removing. |
