제목 Surface Modification of Stainless Steel for Prevention of Restenosis and Improvement of Blood Compatibility
초록 Stents are now widely applied, but thrombosis and restenosis are still problems to be improved. In our previous studies, PEG derivative or heparin were grafted on gold surfaces by self-assembled monolayers(SAMs) technology using functional sulfur compounds. This method have been problem about bond stability. In this study, the surface of stainless steel polished by electrochemical method and was passivation using strong acid. And we introduced PEG-SO3 and heparin using silane compound as coupling agent. Modified surfaces were characterized by Electron spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis(ESCA), Atomic Force Microscopy(AFM) and static water contact angle measurement, respectively. For estimation of blood compatibility, we have experimented platelet adhesion test and protein(albumin, fibrinogen, and total protein) adsorption test.
