We prepared polystyrene microspheres using homogenizer. In order to further improve biological functionality of microspheres, we attempted to prepareCaP and protein-incorporatedCaP coatings on the surface of polystyrene microspheres. The variation of the surface morphology dependent on the treatment time and conditions was observed using SEM microscopes. And we analyzed the surface charge of the microspheres using zeta potential measurements and the chemical structure of CaP-coated polystyrene microspheres using FT-IR. According to our results, this method can be applied in a variety of industries, such as tissue substitutes and drug delivery. |
