Anticorrosion of Steel Sheet by using Electrochemical Reduced Graphene Oxide |

The use of refined metals is widespread, but they are often chemically reactive, requiring protective coatings for many applications. Protecting the surface of reactive metals has developed into a significant industry which employs many different approaches, including coating with organic layers, paints or varnishes, polymers, formation of oxide layers, anodization, chemical modification and coating with other metals or alloys. However, most conventional methods modify the physical properties of metals being protected. In this study, graphene layers were introduced on steel sheet for corrosion protecting by using electrophoretic deposition. electrophoretic deposition is an economical and versatile processing technique that has been applied in deposition of coatings and films with controllable thickness and homogeneous structure on a wide range of substrates. |
