제목 The Effects of Radiation Processing on Thermal Resistance of Nylon 12
초록 Nylon has been widely used as an important high performance engineering plastic in various industrial fields. Currently, further improvement of thermal resistance is still interesting by radiation processing.In this study, the effects of electron beam irradiation on Nylon 12 in the presence of triallyl cyanurate (TAC) and trimethylopropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA) as crosslinking agents had been studied for enhancing various properties. The degree of crosslinking was dependent on the contents and the reactivity of functional group of crosslinking agents during irradiation. The gel contents, the thermal properties were characterized by soxhlet apparatus, DSC, TGA and DMA, respectively. The heat distortion temperature (HDT) was measured according to ASTM D 648.
