제목 | Variation of strain condition and mechanical properties by cross-roll rolled AZ31 Mg sheet |
초록 | High specific strength, low density and availability of magnesium offer a lot of possibilities for the use of Mg alloys for many applications including automotive and other transport industries. On the other hand, poor formability, low corrosion resistance and high coefficient of thermal expansion, in general, limit utilization of Mg alloys. The poor forming capacity of Mg alloys at ambient temperatures is due to their hexagonal close packed (hcp) structure. It is associated with a lack of sufficient independent slip systems necessary for deformation of polycrystals. The main slip mode in Mg and its alloys is basal slip. Only two independent slip systems are available in the basal plane, which is not satisfactory for homogenous deformation of polycrystals. Consequently, twinning commonly takes place in order to compensate difficulties with non-basal slipping. Due to variations in chemical composition, texture and grain size, the activity of non-basal slip may change. Furthermore, the activity of non-basal slip systems is significantly influenced by temperature. The ways of giving the existing shear deformation are an extrusion, a rolling, ECAP and ECAE. Among those ways the most favorite is a rolling that can be manufactured in large quantities, and between the rolling methods the way that can maximize shear deformation is Cross rolling. Therefore the purpose of this study is to compare and analysis the microstructure that is a test result from cross rolling, the mechanical properties of texture and the result experimented by Normal rolling. EBSD is used in comparing microstructure and texture. |
