Recently, biosensor that can be used for studying diagnosis of particular disease has received a great attention in the BT field. To design a biosensor, synthesis of biocompatible polymeric substance as a template becomes very important subject. Poly(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate -co- PEG methyl ether methacrylate -co- 3-azidopropyl methacrylate) is expected to be a useful material to generate a required patterns. Poly(TMSMA -co- PEGMA -co- AzPMA) was synthesized by using three kinds of monomers (poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA), 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (TMSMA), and 3-azidopropyl methacrylate (AzPMA)) via radical polymerization using AIBN. AzPMA was obtained from the reaction of 3-azidopropanol and methacryloyl chloride in methylene chloride and 3-azidopropanol was synthesized with 3-chloropropanol and sodium azide in water. In this presentation, we will discuss the preliminary results for the synthesis of copolymer. |
